When:
November 09, 2025
Timeline:
9:00 am — 12:00 pm
Location: Our Lady of Angels / 4th Ave.
This Sunday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Troop 23 will return to support our chartering parish, Our Lady of Angels, by assisting with their annual Fall Clothing Drive.
Serving others is a core value of Scouting. This hands on opportunity allows Scouts to actively help people in need, right outside the building that sponsors our troop.
Throughout the event, parish members and local residents drop off gently used items to be shared with charity partners. Scouts will welcome donors, help receive and organize bags of clothing, and assist with loading everything onto the transport vehicle. It’s an easy way to complete service hours while doing something meaningful for the neighborhood.
All Scouts are expected to take part. Father Abels relies on us for this project, and our presence demonstrates appreciation and respect. Tell your Patrol Leader which shift you can work, and please reply promptly when they reach out.
Uniform: Class A or Class B (with official green pants). Please do not wear jeans or sweatpants, since we are representing the troop and Scouting America.
Let’s show Bay Ridge that Troop 23 leads through service and commitment.
