Our Lady of Angels Christmas Giving Tree

When and Where

When: December 14, 2026
Timeline: 7:00 pm — 8:30 pm

Location: Our Lady of Angels / Inside the church, not the Scout Room

Every December the parish of Our Lady of Angels collects gifts under its Christmas Giving Tree, and every one of them has to be sorted, labeled and bundled before it can go on to where it is meant to go. Since 2022 that has been Troop 23's job, and it takes one Monday evening.

Scouts report directly to the church, not to the Scout Room where we usually meet, and come in Class A uniform. The work is simple and there is a lot of it, so the more hands, the shorter the evening. Families are welcome to stay and help, and the hours count as service.

The Annual Tree Lighting earlier in the month is the parish's celebration of the season. This is the work that comes after it. The 2025 evening has photographs in the troop's archive album.
