Location: Ten Mile River Scout Camps

Every February the Troop goes upstate for a weekend in a cabin. It is the one trip of the year where the tents stay home: Scouts sleep under a roof with a stove going, and spend the daylight outside in the snow — hiking, sledding, cooking, and learning what cold-weather camping actually asks of you.

It is a good first winter trip for a newer Scout. The cabin removes the hardest part of winter camping, and what is left is the fun part.

This page is a placeholder. The weekend of February 12-14, 2027 is on the Troop's planning calendar, but the cabin is not booked and the cost is not set. Details will be added here once they are confirmed; watch this page, or ask at a Monday meeting.
