Timeline: 10:00 am — 1:00 pm

Location: 143-35 37th Avenue Flushing, NY 11354

OLA: We will departing from OLA at 9:00 AM. The start time for the project is 10:00 AM.

We need your response in order for us to plan transportation - whether we will be driving or taking mass transportation. Are you coming, and can your parent assist with transportation to Flushing?

Please RSVP for this unique event that was put together to help and learn about the Queens Historical Society - Weeping Beech Park, the beneficiary of this service project.

This is a follow-up to our previous adventure on the Religious Freedom Hike and 20-mile hike. This is an opportunity to help this community and learn more about the history of Queens. This will be led by a lead historian, who will also provide a tour of the museum and exhibits and talk about Daniel Beard. Daniel Carter "Uncle Dan" Beard was an American illustrator, author, youth leader, Georgist and social reformer who founded the Sons of Daniel Boone in 1905, which Beard later merged with the Boy Scouts of America. His life long commitment to Scouting is inspiring. With a good showing of Scouts, Scouters and family, the work is expected to be light. Unfortunately, we will not do a hike afterwards.
