Say What?: Rafting!
Our outfitter, Whitewater Rafting Adventures, has organized an event for Scouts only to be held on May 10th. The Super Scout Day event is for CLASS III whitewater rapids. Think you are up for the challenge? Absolutely!. T23 need no Class I and Class II ripples. To provide us protection, the outfitter will also provide free wetsuit rentals (if needed) for scouts. As always, the trip is accompanied by professional guides.

Say When?: Saturday, May 10th - Day trip
To enable maximum participation (as well as getting back in time for Mother’s Day flower sale on Sunday, May 11th), this will be a day trip. That means we depart in the early morning and come back on the same day. No camping. (We will announce an alternate May camping trip.) 
Timing is TBD until we book the slot. 

Say Who?: Maximum participation means Scouts, Scout Parents (yes, that is a proper noun) and friends interested in joining our team.

Say How?: Depending on the number of participants, any assistance from parents with transportation will be greatly appreciated. 

Say Where: Poconos/Jim Thorpe, PA. It’s a nice drive early in the morning. https://adventurerafting.com/ And we get to stop at our Wawa or QuickChek. 

RSVP: As always, we cannot book this until we have a final headcount. This offer is booking up quickly. Please RSVP as soon as possible but please no later than EOD Wednesday, 4/9/25. (Sorry for the short notice.) Slots are expected to fill up for this Super Scout Day event. Please respond whether you will be coming or not, and whether you have additional attendees from your household.

Cost: The outfitter fee is $60.95 per person for this dam release date. All those who have attended in the past know that this is a blast and well attended event for all. (Discount for those who get Mr. Sandor wet.)

Requirements that can only be fulfilled on the water: 
This is a Tread Lightly event. (First Class 1b)
Paddecraft (First Class 6b and 6c)
