Mother's Day Flower Sale & Clothing Drive

Location: Our Lady of Angels / 4th Ave, In front of the Church

This Sunday marks the final Flower Sale and Clothing Drive — two important events where every scout is needed to step up and contribute. The Flower Sale will run from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM (or while supplies last), and the Clothing Drive will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. With both events happening side-by-side, it’s a great opportunity to serve the community and boost our flower sales by attracting more visitors to our table.

🌸 Flower Sale

The Flower Sale is one of the fundraising events organized by our troop to sell flowers and other plants to get funds for our troop's annual summer camp and new troop equipment.

All scouts should show up (in Class A) and help, even if you aren't planning to go to summer camp. If for some reason you can't attend, inform an adult leader in person during one of our meetings.

You can also help by spreading the word about this flower sale and maybe getting your friends or neighbors to buy some flowers.

We usually have multiple Flower Sales a year, all aimed at supporting our troop's annual summer camp and new equipment purchases. 👕 Clothing Drive

At the same time, our troop will be assisting with the OLA Clothing Drive, organized by the church.

Providing service is a core part of what we do. This is a great opportunity for us to connect with our local community.

The OLA clothing drive is an event organized by the Our Lady of Angles church where people are encouraged to collect any of their clothing they don't need anymore, bring it down to the church, and donate it to charity.

Whenever a Clothing drive comes around, the troop always helps collect the clothes, since it is a great way to give back to the community and earn service hours!

Scouts will greet donors, accept their clothing donations, and load them onto the van. It’s an easy service opportunity that is visible to our immediate community and greatly appreciated by Father Abels, who greatly supports our group. We must have scouts volunteering here as well. 

Please be proactive and inform your PL when you can be there and for how long. Be responsive when they reach out to you. We will be recording the service hours you complete. (Remember that there are never enough service hours.)
